Pablo Rodríguez gets a 10 in a Team of the Week from seven competitions
Seven competitions, nine clubs and not a single player from the Premier League, Serie A or the Eredivisie. The cross-league Team of the Week for 16 to 18 October is carried by Lech Poznań and Lokomotiva Zagreb, who each supply two players.
In goal is Josip Posavec of Lokomotiva Zagreb. He kept a clean sheet in the 2-0 against Istra 1961 in the Croatian 1. HNL and reached 23 points with a 9.03. His teammate Fran Karacic scored in the same match, set up another goal and finished on 28 points.
Mustafa Yumlu of Erzurumspor reaches the same total, with an assist in the 2-0 against Eyüpspor in the Süper Lig. Timothy Weah of Olympique Marseille provided two assists in the 2-5 win at Angers in Ligue 1 and took 24 points. Adem Arous of Kasımpaşa scored twice in the 4-1 against Samsunspor and, with a 9.37, has the highest rating of the four defenders.
In midfield is Mathias Olesen of Sønderjyske with three assists in the 4-0 against Silkeborg in the Danish Superliga, worth 27 points. Pablo Rodríguez of Lech Poznań played only 68 minutes, but scored twice and set up three in the 6-1 against Korona Kielce in the Ekstraklasa. His rating is a perfect 10.00, and with 120 points this season he also has the highest season total of the eleven. Luis Díaz scored three and set up one in Bayern München's 6-1 against RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, with a 9.85 the second-highest rating.
Up front is Mikael Ishak, the other Lech player, who scored twice and set up one in 76 minutes for 27 points. Lassine Sinayoko of Paris FC scored twice and set up two in the 4-3 against Rennes and received a 9.60. Mikel Oyarzabal of Real Sociedad scored twice in the 2-5 win at Málaga in La Liga.
The big matches produced nobody. Barcelona won 2-5 at Betis, Feyenoord won 3-4 at Telstar and Ajax won 2-5 at Groningen. The best score from those three matches came from Barcelona's Pau Cubarsí with 23 points, level with Arous but with the lower rating. Harry Kane scored once and set up two for Bayern for 22 points, but was on the pitch for only 59 minutes. The cut-off is 60.
Florian Thauvin also came close. The Lens forward set up two goals for 24 points, the same as Sinayoko and Oyarzabal, but his 8.52 stayed below Oyarzabal's 8.87.
